PE – polyethylene – MDP / HDPE 1000 MDP
PE is a widely used material, which is available in many grades. The numbers indicate the molecular chains length and means that the higher the number the greater durability. HDPE 1000 MDP (Metal Detectable Plastic) is a common HDPE 1000, the generation is added microscopic metal that makes the plastic deflects a metal detector. With this feature, you can meet the ever increasing demands for food, but without and compromise on the plastic already many uses. It will still have the same chemical resistance and resistant surface, which makes the material easy to clean.
Application
HDPE 1000 MDP is available as semi-finished plates and rods. The quality is recognizable by the distinctive blue color (about RAL 5010), but is also available in natural (white), black or as desired. HDPE is used, inter alia, within the chemical industry and the food industry to cut sheets, a compartment rails, molds for food and the like. HDPE 1000 MDP is often used where the plastic has been in direct contact with food, and where the desire is low friction. By attaching plates and rails it is important to be aware of the relatively high coefficient of expansion for PE.
