OTV is subject to the rules of materials and articles intended for contact with food for a part of our plastic materials.
OTV is registered by the Food control administration, food region south. All companies importing and selling materials and articles intended for contact with food, must be registered by the Food control administration

As a responsible company, OTV PLASTIC has self-monitoring and documentation to our customers in the form of declaration of conformity (Declaration of Compliance), supplemented with migration tests from our suppliers to ensure that the part of our engineering plastics intended for contact with food comply with the legislation. OTV imports engineering plastic from the EU and comply with EU legislation on food contact materials – FKM.
The Declaration of Conformity will show that the material is in accordance to:
- Regulation 1935/2004 / EC
- Regulation 10/2011 / EC
- The manufacture of the plastic material and items processed by the material are done in accordance with 2023/2006 / EC (GMP – Good Manufacturing Practice)
- Traceable methodology and self-monitoring are available as part of the fulfillment of the above regulations as well as 2023/2006 / EC
- The material does not contain “Dual Use Additives”
The traceability from finished product at the customer to the manufacture of the semi-finished plastics at OTV’s suppliers, can be requested by the customer with Identification. / Charge no. on orders and invoices on food contact materials according to 1935/2004 / EC and 10/2011 / EC.
OTV cannot issue general statements about the execution of 1935/2004, since we also supply materials that are not intended for contact with food, and when we as a subcontractor does not necessarily have knowledge of the product’s use. It is therefore necessary that OTV in relation to orders, are made aware of how detailed traceability should be and whether you require a declaration of conformity enclosed. OTV’s processes regarding food safety and all statements are maintained in our ISO 9001:2015. Quality, short delivery time and high reliability of supply are in focus on OTV – including the subjects that must have a declaration of conformity.
