PETG – Vivak
PETG is the amorphous (clear) edition of PETP. PETG has a good transparency and a combination of mechanic, thermal and electrical qualities, which means that it can be used very widely.
Application
PETG semi-finished is manufactured in sheets by extruding. PETG is easy to thermos mold and hot bend, which has the effect that the application possibilities are endless, to machine foreclosure, displays, bike helmets etc. The material is FDA-approved and can therefore be used to containers for food. PETG can additionally be bonded and welded. As standard it is not particularly UV-stabile, so if using outdoors we recommend the UV protected edition.
Max. Application temperature is approx. 65°C in both wet and dry environment. PETG can be thermoformed without pre-drying at temperature 130-160°C. The material emits no environmentally harmful substances when burned. PETG has a high impact strength, but is rather notch sensitive. The material can be cold bended to 2 mm thickness (3+4 mm with a large radius)
